Hello all -

Today marks 3 years since the passing of our beloved Andy - as well as the anniversary of the horrific attacks on September 11th, 2001.

In your day of remembrance, take some time to reflect on the beautiful, lasting impact one man’s life has had on the thousands of lives he touched, and allow that to be your inspiration, and the light in which you remember our champion, Andy.

Another thing you can do is to tweet various upcoming film festivals, and express your desire to see ‘Be Here Now: The Andy Whitfield Story’ at their locale.

As the closing scene of Ridley Scotts’s ‘Gladiator’ simply but profoundly states:

"Honor him."

Blessings to all,

BHN

Hello all!

Just sharing a bit of amazing news -

Via good friend and ‘Be Here Now’ backer Matt Faulisi @mattfaulisi :

"My little champion indeed. Andy Nicholas Faulisi, born today, 1/27/2014. Named after the man [Andy Whitfield] himself."

Beautiful example of one man’s impact and legacy truly living on, huge congratulations to Matt and his wife Renata.

Welcome to the arena, little champion Andy. Welcome to the world!

                - ANDY WHITFIELD -

                     "Our Champion"

It’s been two whole years since the world was graced with the physical existence of this amazing being for the last time, and today especially we remember this gladiator and the real-life battle he fought against his cancer.

We also humbly acknowledge all that he gave of himself to us, his audience, through ‘Spartacus’; through his grace and humility as an actor and warmth as a fellow human being, and to what new parts of himself he has yet to reveal to us in the coming documentary ‘Be Here Now’.

Andy, we deeply treasure your life, and the legacy you left behind - a gift that will continue to blossom long into the future.

Remembering the man we all came to love, and honoring his legacy by keeping his message alive. Wherever you are, and wherever you are going -

Be Here Now.

We love you Andy.

xx

1-Year Anniversary

beherenowfilm:

It was one year ago that we started our Kickstarter campaign and our Facebook page. Thank you again to all of you who backed us and the making of this film — and joined together in what is now a truly international “Be Here Now” community. (If you missed it, we don’t want you to feel left out, so you may still pledge for any available rewards including the Be Here Now leather bracelet — just email us at beherenowfilm@gmail.com to find out how).

“But the reality is, I miss him badly. Sometimes I wear his pajamas and aftershave to bed, or I cry and hug the tree I dedicated to him. But I must let go of all that and focus on what I want in life, not what I no longer have.”

Hello all!

Vashti is currently here in sunny Los Angeles, California, to view the rough final edit of the documentary we are all waiting for - Our Champion’s story through his diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma entitled “Be Here Now”.

Here is a short video of Vashti, sharing how she is feeling about this particular moment in time and of Andy’s legacy, as she is going to view the film for the first time since actually living it with him back in 2010 - 2011.

Enjoy, and if you’d like to express your sentiments remember you can post on maybemcqueen.com and to Vashti via Twitter.

Gratitude.

Hello friends!

As you are well aware, the saga of Spartacus has come to an end - a saga that began with Our Champion Andy. Here are three behind-the-scenes photos of Andy from the production of “Spartacus: Blood and Sand.”

In photo one, we have Andy checking his cell phone while on break between takes; in photo two, Andy and his good friend Jai Courtney (Varro) are being made camera-ready. In the third photo, Andy is joined by Nick Tarabay (Ashur) and John Hannah (Batiatus) on the set of Andy’s last episode in ‘Spartacus’ - the season one finale entitled, “Kill Them All.”

Hope you enjoy.

You can head over to http://t.co/yQmWJmI75t for a profile on filmmaker Rob Tapert and the production journey of ‘Spartacus’, in photos.

Gratitude.
