Hello friends!

As you are well aware, the saga of Spartacus has come to an end - a saga that began with Our Champion Andy. Here are three behind-the-scenes photos of Andy from the production of “Spartacus: Blood and Sand.”

In photo one, we have Andy checking his cell phone while on break between takes; in photo two, Andy and his good friend Jai Courtney (Varro) are being made camera-ready. In the third photo, Andy is joined by Nick Tarabay (Ashur) and John Hannah (Batiatus) on the set of Andy’s last episode in ‘Spartacus’ - the season one finale entitled, “Kill Them All.”

Hope you enjoy.

You can head over to http://t.co/yQmWJmI75t for a profile on filmmaker Rob Tapert and the production journey of ‘Spartacus’, in photos.

Gratitude.

If you were watching the ‘Stand Up 2 Cancer' telethon, you may have noticed that due to technical difficulties, Lucy’s and STARZ’s piece on Our Champion Andy unfortunately was not aired properly.

Here is the piece again for those who may have missed it, and for those who would just like to see it again and continue to spread Andy’s message far and wide, in loving memory of this brilliant man, who was beautiful in every way a person can possibly be.

Be Here Now

Vashti Whitifeld, via her Twitter:

Many wonderful people passed away on September 11th, as will many more. Such is the cycle of life. For me September 11th is and always will be a day to celebrate life, living and the opportunity to Be Here Now!
So please - as the many very kind sympathy messages begin pouring in - please be mindful that I am making this a day of celebration, and I would love to inspire you to make that day one that absolutely makes you smile and very glad to be alive!

So as September 11th - aka Andy’s one-year mark - draws nearer and nearer, here is a kind reminder of everything Andy stood for in his last days on this Earth, the idea that life is both fragile and fleeting, and rather than fearing that, we should all celebrate it, and how blessed we are to be alive.

Mourning is a natural part of human nature, and so no one should feel wrong for doing so of Our Champion Andy…just remember he would have wanted us all to smile and celebrate his message of believing in yourself and chasing your dreams -

Success! With over $200,000 pledged towards Andy’s story, the goal has been reached. There are no words to say thank-you to all of Andy’s fans who contributed to that goal. Our Champion is surely flashing that smile, wherever he is now. :-)
Continue to spread word about Andy and his message, as any more money that we can all raise will surely help this project reach as far as it possibly can!
WELL DONE EVERYONE.

“I mean I was exhausted by the end of the first season, but I’m pretty sure anyone would have been. It’s one of the most extreme things I’ve ever gone through. And uh, there was a lot of pain at the end of that - wasn’t sure what it was, and it wasn’t going away, and ended up being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.”

Our Champion’s appearance on the U.S. talk show “Chelsea Lately” - Chelsea was being very cheeky with Andy, and he took it all in stride, although she does mange to embarrass him - just a little. ;) Watch the very funny interview in which Andy’s brilliantly charming personality takes center stage.
