Many wonderful people passed away on September 11th, as will many more. Such is the cycle of life. For me September 11th is and always will be a day to celebrate life, living and the opportunity to Be Here Now! 

So please - as the many very kind sympathy messages begin pouring in - please be mindful that I am making this a day of celebration, and I would love to inspire you to make that day one that absolutely makes you smile and very glad to be alive!

So as September 11th - aka Andy’s one-year mark - draws nearer and nearer, here is a kind reminder of everything Andy stood for in his last days on this Earth, the idea that life is both fragile and fleeting, and rather than fearing that, we should all celebrate it, and how blessed we are to be alive. 

Mourning is a natural part of human nature, and so no one should feel wrong for doing so of Our Champion Andy…just remember he would have wanted us all to smile and celebrate his message of believing in yourself and chasing your dreams -

Could you please take a high-res photo as beautifully shot as possible - with none of your naked bits showing - and e-mail in. No faces please!

May possibly be used somewhere at end of the doco….. Maybe!!!

Hey all!

There is less than 20 hours to go until the end of the ‘Be Here Now’ funding campaign. With close to $300,000 dollars raised, Our Champion Andy’s vision is set to be realized, and it is all thanks to the efforts of every single person who rallied together in the common effort of honoring the wishes of this brilliant man - a man we all loved.

He was and will always be a father to two beautiful children, a husband to an equally beautiful and brilliant wife, a son, a cousin…a friend to many, and Andy… you were and will always remain, a Champion to us all.

To paraphrase a line from ‘Spartacus’:

He was indeed the sun, and now his light rises everyday in the souls of every single life he touched, both near and far.

Of the project, Manu said to TV | LINE’s Michael Ausiello:

“Of course, you know, we’re also remembering Andy Whitfield, he’s got a documentary coming out soon called ‘Be Here Now’, so for anybody who really sort of has enjoyed the show and loved Andy’s performance in the first season, it’s a must-see to see his documentary about his life and his struggle with cancer.”

Just in time to be this blog’s 100th post, ‘Be Here Now’ has hit a STAGGERING $250,000 dollars, all toward funding Andy’s story. That’s a quarter of a million dollars collectively generated by all of you, Andy’s beautiful fans - and making the last wish of a beautiful man come to fruition. 

Here’s a logo design I created this morning to further celebrate Andy’s story and message to us all. Hope you enjoy! The butterfly represents Andy’s message to his children - because now he has achieved his wings, wings that spread his message far and wide.

The Message

The Kickstarter campaign continues to grow well past the original goal of $200,000, as Andy’s fans continue to pour in love and support. Keep up the brilliant and beautiful work everyone. 

Some little updates - 1. there is a new banner on the site, and 2. have finally figured out how to add some music to the home page, and have done so. Hope you enjoy.

Also, as this little blog inches closer to 300 beautiful followers, a huge thank-you is in order to all of you for allowing Andy to be in your lives in this little way, and all the likes and re-blogs are appreciated beyond measure. The brilliant light that Our Champion brought to this world continues to flourish in the lives of all that he touched - family, friends, and fans.

Be Here Now.

Success! With over $200,000 pledged towards Andy’s story, the goal has been reached. There are no words to say thank-you to all of Andy’s fans who contributed to that goal. Our Champion is surely flashing that smile, wherever he is now. :-)

Continue to spread word about Andy and his message, as any more money that we can all raise will surely help this project reach as far as it possibly can!
